Resort-like ambience for Mumbai home

The entrance of this city home has been designed by AVN Interior Architects, Mumbai, with a glazed, open-to-sky courtyard with a single tree at the center. The sun lounge, with a touch of French architecture, extends into a covered deck area and opens to the terrace which is designed in grey granite with minimalist sculptures that form the outdoor furniture.
Social and private areas are divided; with the living, dining, lounge, terrace kitchen and guest room on the upper floor while the master and kid’s rooms are placed on the lower level.
A stand-alone wall with dresser, divides the master bedroom and walk-in closet while the master bath is an open layout with glazed cubicles for shower and wc.
Huge installation art adorns the suspended staircase area, a double-height space enhanced with concrete cladding connecting both floors. The powder room is hidden within this concrete wall. All the materials are used in their natural form; glass, wood, marble, concrete sheets and steel.
