Gold-and-beige extravagance for New Delhi residence
New Delhi-based architecture and design firm Design & Build has designed the Iconic Living 4-BHK apartment, which is a blend of luxury and functionality. Spread over 10,000 sq. ft., the client wanted a subtle color palette that would work for their joint-family setting. Each of the family members wanted a different for their room according to their personal preferences.
The garage and bar are situated opposite to each other, the former of which features warm lights reflecting from the walls. Chandeliers complement the open-ceiling design and fall just above the white bar counter, which is surrounded by turquoise bar stools with golden legs. Flanked by a pool table on the left, there is a small table with four sofas for relaxation. The black garage floor balances the light in the bar, with tube lights hanging from the ceiling.
The hall presents a Victorian influence and a beige color palette with golden detailing, with a chandelier in the center, Peach-pink and white curtains, and gold-detailed mirrored walls are important elements, along with a gold-and-beige-colored sofa with a black-and-gold center table. A low seating sofa and table are placed beside the piano.
The bedroom has a maroon-and-gold color palette with a grey-colored floor and ceiling. A white chandelier illuminates the golden wall flower detailing, while the carpet balances the grey flooring. Bedside tables with lampshades and a single seating sofa are bordered with a study-table-and-chair set. Maroon-colored curtains overlook the scenery behind the headboard.
