Customized glass art for Ghaziabad office
Ghaziabad-based architecture and design consultancy Kapil Mehta & Associates has designed the AG Office Space. The client brief was to design a workspace that matches the changes in contemporary work ethos. The 6000 sq ft space is minimalistic yet radiates a sense of motivation with different shades corresponding to the employees’ colored industrial belts. A melange of clean lines, the firm blended the conservatism of office ethos with the finesse of commercial design.
The entire space is divided into three floors, where the ground floor has been transformed into reception and waiting area with a minimalistic design scheme. Meeting rooms and other administrative departments meet the daily footfall of 50 visitors.
The first floor displays a feature wall with customized glass art and inky wainscoting with multiple horizontal grooves. The floating ceiling made of mineral wool bestows a visually appealing experience to the visitor. The same design is incorporated in the technical department, with a vibrant color scheme and wainscoting for cabins. Moving to the conference rooms, the wall paneling has acoustics and glossy ceramic-coated glasswork. The second conference room’s walls are inlaid with a continuous chevron pattern and wainscoting with horizontal grooves throughout the room.
The workspaces on the second floor create a chromatic ambiance with ethnic yellow, grey and white interiors, with the cabins dedicated to the owner’s sons. An ambiance was created to fulfill the requirements of the sales, markets and customer care departments. The workspaces are left open and visually free to nurture unobstructed communication.
